Supporting the Center

Yangti Yoga Retreat Center is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization sustained by the generosity of practitioners, supporters, and friends who believe in the value of this work. We have no endowment, no institutional backing, and no major donors. What we have is a community — and the shared recognition that authentic Vajrayana practice needs a home in the West.

Everything at Yangti — the land, the cabins, the programs, the teachers, the lineage partnerships — has been built slowly and carefully with the resources that have been offered. Your support makes the next step possible. Whether you give once or return year after year, your generosity is received with deep gratitude and care.

As a 501(c)(3) religious nonprofit, all donations to Yangti are fully tax-deductible. We prioritize transparency in all our fundraising efforts and are happy to provide documentation for tax purposes.

2026 DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIES
Retreat Cabin Development

In 2026 we will renovate the Shukseb Jetsun Chöying Zangmo retreat cabin, connect it to a new septic system and implement construction plans for three additional dark retreat cabins plus a bathroom and shower facility. Plans have been submitted to local authorities and are under review.

The Shukseb Jetsun Chöying Zangmo cabin is named in honor of Jetsun Shukseb Rigdzin Chöying Zangmo, one of the most renowned yoginis of the last century and regarded as an emanation of Machig Labdrön. She was a devoted practitioner of Yangti who spent as much as six months each year in dark retreat and a lineage holder connected directly to our teachers.

Meditation Hall & Protector Shrine

The two-story garage at the center will be converted into a meditation hall and protector shrine. Plans are drafted and ready for submission to the local building department. A series of statues of the Yangti Nakpo lineage masters is currently in production in Nepal.

CPE Program Launch

Yangti’s ACPE-accredited Clinical Pastoral Education program launches with its first cohort in May 2026 — one of the very few standalone certified Vajrayana-oriented CPE programs in the United States. Later in 2026 we will begin developing a CPE Educator training program and a separate dark retreat training for chaplains and death doulas.

The Stupa

On the advice of H.E. Chung Tulku Rinpoche, construction of the stupa was deferred from 2025 — identified as an inauspicious year for the project. Work begins in 2026. Lama Justin returned from Bhutan with relics for the stupa, including hair of Jetsun Shukseb Rigdzin Choying Zangmo, and relics of Trukshik Donag Lingpa and Penor Rinpoche.
