About the event

In the the practice of Mahamudra and Dzogchen, as meditators engage in the work of continued practice and learning about their mind from repeated meditation sessions, both formal and informal, it becomes vitally important to understand the nature of thought, the experience of stillness as well as the embodied experience of awareness.

 

The great Nyingma master, Jamgön Ju Mipham Gyatso, generally referred to as Mipham Rinpoche, lived from 1846 to 1912. He was a student of some of the greatest masters of his time, including Jamgön Kongtrül Lodrö Thaye, Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo and Patrul Rinpoche and likewise became the teacher of great meditation masters such as Shechen Gyaltsab Pema Namgyal. Mipham was believed to be blessed by Manjusri himself due to the depth of his knowledge and realization.
