The Union of Vajravarahi and Clear Light Yoga

The practice of deity yoga - in one manner of speaking - is an alchemical practice through which we transform our point of orientation from that of an ordinary smasaric being to the manifestation of bliss-emptiness as the deity. A vital practice that is central to the path of Vajrayana, or Tantric Buddhism, the deity yoga of the semi-wrathful female buddha Vajravarahi is well known for its profound blessings and power.

The practice of Clear Light Yoga is a powerful completion-stage practice through which the yogini can expreience the very essence of awakened mind. The practice of Clear Light Yoga generally has two phases: waking practice and sleeping practice.

In this teaching session, Lama Justin will offer intructions on the practice of the Yoga of Clear Light based on the work of Jonang Taranatha. We will be focusing on the day-time instructions of Clear Light Yoga that is uniqely situated at the heart of the yogini tantras and is connected to the practice of Vajravarahi/Vajrayogini.
